Always have a camera with you.

Obviously, you can’t take pictures without a camera. If you have a pro-level dSLR with a huge telezoom, you might prefer a smaller and more portable camera which you can carry in your pocket while staking out the streets.

Act Natural!

You don’t want people to mistake you for a pervert or paparazzi. Act natural and confident. You will be treated according to how you behave.

If you’re half hiding behind a wall and sniping away or trying to conceal your camera behind newspapers or magazines, you will be treated with suspicion and possibly confronted.

Just keep your camera out in the open and photograph confidently. People are more likely to ignore you as they assume that you are doing what you are supposed to be doing.

Remove the Frills.

Pare down your gear into the bare essentials. Dump the heavy accessories like battery/power/booster packs. And toss out your external flash. It is going to be distracting when taking street pics.

A flash would destroy the ambient lighting and and also interrupt that subject, destroying any natural pics in the process. . You should be thinking portability and ease of access over power.

If you are a sentimental guy, you yearn for the good old days. And there is nothing better than to return to the simplicity of black and white photos.

Modern digital cameras come equipped with a function to take black and white photos. If your digital camera does not support this function, you can still change your photographs into black and white with software programs.

Black and white display can be as beautiful and artistic as colored pictures. Using image manipulation, it is easy to make your black and white digital photographs stand out.

Just convert your eight-bit color images (which are usually jpegs) into 16-bit colors first. This is important because an 8-bit RGB is similar to a 10-bit grayscale.

You will usually have to convert your graphics, because although there are options with digital cameras, there are no true black and white digital cameras.

Alternatively, you can research on the internet or magazines for more black and white digital photography tips.

Correct the Colorcasts

An important part of black and white digital photography is correcting the colorcasts. These are caused by bad lighting, but you can use software such as PhotoShop Elements to make the relevant changes by using their editing applications.

The Imaging Factory is also a software that can help you to easily convert and fix lighting areas in your graphics to get the best look with your black and white digital photography.

If you learn the tips behind black and white digital images, you immerse yourself in an entirely new world in photography.
